지난 삼백 년 동안, 주님은 많은 사람들을 구원하기 위해 특별한 방식으로 전도지를 사용하셨습니다. 전도지로 사람을 구원하는데 있어서 좋은 점  하나는 시간에 제한받지 않는다는 것입니다. 여러분은 하루 24시간 동안 말할 수 없고, 듣는 사람도 항상 가능한 것은 아닙니다. 그러나 전도지는 시간에 제한받지 않습니다. 여러분은 하루 중 어느 때라도 전도지를 나누어 줄 수 있고, 사람들도 하루 중 어느 때라도 전도지를 받고 읽을 수 있습니다. 많은 사람들이 주님을 위해 간증하고 사람들을 그리스도께로 이끄는데 열심입니다. 그러나 그들의 지식은 한정되어 있고, 그들의 말은 부족합니다. 그들은 전도지가 하는 것만큼 적절하고 완전하게 복음 메시지를 전할 수 없습니다. 구약은 우리가 많은 물가에 씨를 심어야 한다고 말합니다(민24:7). 만일 우리가 뿌린 천 장의 전도지 중에서 한 사람이 구원받는다면, 이것으로 충분히 놀라운 일입니다. 하나님은 사람을 구원하기 위해 전도지를 사용하셨습니다. 나는 어떤 사람이 전도지를 받아 길에 버린 경우를 알고 있습니다. 신발에 못이 박힌 다른 사람이 무언가 덧댈만한 것을 찾고 있었습니다. 그는 전도지를 집어서 신발 안에 구겨 넣었습니다. 그는 집에 돌아와 신발을 고치기 시작했습니다. 그런 다음 그는 전도지를 보았고, 구원받았습니다. 전도지로 말미암아 구원받은 비슷한 많은 경우의 사람들이 있습니다. 사람을 그리스도께로 인도하는 일처럼, 우리는 이 일도 역시 많은 기도와 마음의 헌신을 가지고 해야 합니다. 우리가 전도지를 나누어주는 동안, 우리는 한 두 마디 말을 할 수도 있고 말을 하지 않을 수도 있습니다. 어느 쪽이든 좋습니다.

기 도 : 주 예수님! 전도지를 나누어주는 일에 있어서도 기도를 소홀히 하지 않게 하소서. 이 전도지를 사용하여 분명한 복음을 듣지 못한 자들에게 구원이 이르게 하소서. 당신의 말씀읕 헛되지 않습니다. 사람들을 구원하심으로 이런 수고에 축복하소서. 아멘.

  During the past two to three hundred years, the Lord has used tracts in a particular way to save many people. One thing special about winning people with tracts is that tracts are not limited by time. You cannot speak twenty-four hours a day, and your audience may not be available all the time. However, tracts are not limited by time. You can pass out tracts any time of the day, and men can receive and read your tracts any time of the day. Many people are very zealous in testifying for the Lord and leading men to Christ. However, their knowledge is limited and their words are lacking. They cannot convey the gospel message adequately and fully [as tracts can]. Another advantage of passing out tracts is that one can sow anywhere. The Old Testament says that we should sow our seed in many waters (Num. 24:7). If one person can be saved out of the thousand tracts we pass out, this is wonderful enough. God has indeed used tracts to save people. I remember an incident in which a person received a tract and then threw it away on the street. Another person, who had a nail stuck in his shoe, was looking for something to cushion his foot. He picked up the tract and stuffed it in his shoe. He returned home and began to mend his shoe. Then he saw the tract and was saved. There are numerous similar cases of people being saved by tracts. Like the work of leading men to Christ, we should do this with much prayer and dedication of heart. While we are passing out tracts, we can speak a word or two to others or we can remain silent. Either way is good.
