요일 1:9 우리가 우리의 죄들을 자백하면, 하나님은 신실하시고 의로우셔서 우리 죄들을 용서하시고, 모든 불의에서 우리를 깨끗하게 하실 것입니다.

빌 2:2 여러분은 같은 것을 생각하고, 같은 사랑을 가지며, 혼 안에서 연결되고, 한 가지 것을 생각하여, 나의 기쁨이 넘치도록 해 주십시오.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Phil. 2:2 Make my joy full, that you think the same thing, having the same love, joined in soul, thinking the one thing.

함께 섞이기 위해 우리는 개인주의와 개성의 죄를 자백할 필요가 있다. 우리의 개인주의는 우리에게 있는 일종의 원칙이자 정책이다. 우리 각자는 자신의 정책과 인간적인 논리를 가지고 있다. 우리의 개인주의는 우리의 논리가 된다.… 교회생활 안에서 우리는 개성으로 충만할 수 있다. 다른 사람들을 관심하지 않고 자신만 관심할 수 있다. 비록 우리가 다른 사람들을 사랑할지라도 그들을 관심하지 않을 수도 있다. 다른 이들을 사랑하면서도 우리는 여전히 자신을 관심할 수 있다. 이것이 개인주의이다. 우리는 이러한 죄를 자백할 필요가 있다. 그러한 세균들이 우리 안에 남아있는 한 우리는 하나가 될 수 없고 섞일 수 없다.

주님에 의해 섞여지기 위해 우리는 반드시 우리의 모든 결함, 결점, 불법, 실수, 죄악, 허물, 외적인죄들, 내적인 악을 자백해야 한다. 우리는 이러한 것들을 자백할 필요가 있을 뿐 아니라 주님의 용서를 구할 필요가 있다. 신약은 주님의 용서에 대한 약속으로 가득하다(행 2:38, 10:43, 엡 1:7, 골 1:14, 요일 1:9). 주님은 기꺼이 용서하시며 잊어버리기까지 하시지만(히8:12), 우리는 자백할 필요가 있다. 우리가 용서를 받고 의롭다 함을 받기 위해 우리는 철저한 자백을 해야한다. 그럴 때 우리는 섞여질 수 있다. In order to be blended together, we need to confess the sin of individualism and individuality. Our individualism is a kind of principle, a kind of policy, with us. Every one of us has his own policy, his own human logic. Our individualism becomes our logic.… In our church life wemay be full of individuality. We may not care for others but may care only for ourselves. Even though we may love others, we may not care for others. In loving others we may still care for ourselves. This is individuality. We need to confess this sin. As long as such germs remain within us, we cannot be one and we cannot be blended.

To be blended by the Lord, we also need to confess all our defects, shortcomings, wrongdoings, mistakes, transgressions, trespasses, outward sins, and inward evils. We need not only to confess these things but also to ask for the Lord’s forgiveness. The New Testament is full of the promise of the Lord’s forgiveness (Acts 2:38; 10:43; Eph. 1:7; Col. 1:14; 1 John 1:9). The Lord is willing to forgive and even to forget (Heb. 8:12), but we need to confess. We should make a thorough confession so that we can be forgiven and justified. Then we can be blended. 우리는 또한 반드시 우리의 죄악 된 본성을 자백하고, 그 본성이 매우 더럽혀져 있고 오염된 세상에 달라붙어 있으며 낡은 것을 자백하고, 주님께 그분의 보혈로 씻어 주시기를 구해야 한다. 비록 우리가 거듭났을지라도 우리에게는 여전히 죄악 된 옛 본성이 있고, 그 본성은 매우 더러우며 세상에 달라붙어 있다. 우리의 내적인 더러운 본성은 쉽게 외부 세상에 부착된다. 우리가 쉽게 백화점에 매혹되는 이유는 우리 안에 무엇인가 백화점과 일치하는 것이 있기 때문이다. 백화점 관리자는 우리의 죄악 된 본성과 일치되는 상품을 준비한다. 우리 모두는 더럽고 세상에 달라붙는 우리의 죄악 된 본성을 소멸하기 위해 그리스도의 죽음과 부활을 체험할 필요가 있다.

우리는 또한 반드시 우리의 성격의 기질적인 문제들과 특이함을 자백해야 한다. 우리는 기질로 인해 많은 문제들을 가지고 있다. 이 모든 문제들이 우리가 함께 섞이지 못하도록 한다. 우리는 또한 성격상의 특이함을 가지고 있다. 일반적으로 거친 사람은 특이함을 많이 가지고 있지 않다. 사람이 세련될수록 특이함이 더 많이 있다. 성격상의 특이한 특징들 또한 우리가 다른 이들과 섞이지 못하도록 한다.

우리는 반드시 우리의 자아와 습관, 일하는 낡은 방식을 부인해야 한다(마 16:24). 이것이 우리에게 함께 섞여질 길을 제공 할 것이다.

많이 자백한 후 우리는 더 이상 우리 자신을 확신하지 않을 것이며 우리의 타고난 능력을 더 이상 신뢰하지 않을 것이다. 이 모든 것들이 처리될 필요가 있으며, 이럴 때 우리는 함께 섞여질 수 있다.

더욱이 우리는 우리 그룹의 모든 지체들을 같은 사랑으로 사랑할 필요가 있다. 흔히 우리는 어떤 성도들을 다른 이들보다 더 사랑한다. 이것은 우리가 모든 성도들을 같은 사랑으로 사랑하지 않는다는 것을 보여 준다. 빌립보서 2장 2절은 우리가 모든 성도들에 대하여 같은 사랑을 가져야 한다고 말한다.

활력 그룹들을 세우기 위해 우리는 충분하고도 철저한 기도에 의해 주님의 갈망에 따라서 한마음 한뜻 안에서 그 영의 하나, 곧 몸의 하나를 지킬 필요가 있다(엡 4:3, 행1:14, 4:24). 한마음 한뜻이 없다면 우리는 하나를 지킬 수 없다. 한마음 한뜻이 하나의 심장이요 핵이다. (활력 그룹의 긴급한 필요에 관한 교통(Ⅱ), 16-18쪽)

We also need to confess our sinful nature, its defilements, its attachment to the contamination of the world, and its oldness, and ask for the Lord’s cleansing with His precious blood. Although we have been regenerated, we still have the old sinful nature with its defilements and its attachment to the contamination of the world.Our inward filthy nature is easily attached to the outward world. The reason that we are so easily attracted to the department stores is that within us something corresponds with the department stores. The department store managers have prepared the merchandise in their stores to correspond with our sinful nature. We all need to experience the death and resurrection of Christ to annul our sinful nature with its defilements and its attachment to the contamination of the world.

We also need to confess our dispositional problems and our peculiarity in our character. We have many problems because of our disposition. All these problems prevent us from being blended together.We also have our peculiarity in our character. In general, a rough person does not have many peculiarities; the more fine a person is, the more peculiarities he has. The peculiar traits in our character also prevent us from being blended with others.

We also need to deny our self, our habit, and our old way of doing things (Matt. 16:24). This will afford us the way to be blended together.

After so much confessing we will have no more confidence in ourselves and no more trust in our natural ability. All these things need to be dealt with; then we can be blended together.

Furthermore, we need to love all the members of our group with an equal love. It is common for us to prefer certain saints over others.This shows that we do not love all the saints with an equal love. Philippians 2:2 says that we should have the same love for all the saints.

To build up the vital groups, we need to keep the oneness of the Spirit, that is, the oneness of the Body, in the one accord according to the Lord’s desire with much and thorough prayer (Eph. 4:3; Acts 1:14; 4:24). Without the one accord we cannot keep the oneness. The one accord is the heart, the kernel, of the oneness.
