신약에는 이 세 요소, 곧 기도와 그 영과 말씀으로 구성된 유일한 한 길이 있다. …우리가 기도에 의해 어떤 일을 하고 그 영을 얻고 말씀을 얻기 위해 어떤 일을 한다면, 사람들은 그것에는 전혀 반대하지 않을 것이다.

가령 한 형제가 우리의 복음 전파에 어떤 종류의 음악을 사용하자고 제안한다 하자. 어떤 사람들은 이것에 대해 좋게 느낄 수도 있고 다른 사람들은 그렇지 않을 수도 있다. 그렇지만 누구도 기도에 관하여, 그 영에 관하여, 말씀을 취하고 말씀을 전파하는 것에 관하여는 다른 의견들을 갖지 않을 것이다. 이것은 하나님께서 발명하시고 정하신, 성경에 있는 길이기 때문에 모든 사람이 알고 있는 유일한 길이다. …우리는 우리의 모든 실행들에서 이 원칙을 취할 필요가 있다. 항상 여러분의 실행을 말씀에 따라 제한하고 한정하기 위해 최선을 다하라. 무엇이든 말씀에 있지 않는 것은 취하지 않는 편이 더 낫다. 기도와 그 영과 말씀 외에 다른 방식으로 복음을 전파하는 것은 다른 생각을 가져온다.

사람들은 말씀에 그렇게 많은 시간을 들이기를 원하지 않기 때문에 다른 어떤 길을 취하려 한다. …다른 길을 취하는 것은 편리함을 위한 지름길들이다. …취할 만한 참된 길, 합당한 길, 가장 유익한 길은…하나님께서 정하신 원칙에 따른…유일한 길이다. …지름길에는 항상 어떤 부작용이 있다. 오직 합당한 길만이 결코 어떤 부작용도 가져오지 않을 것이다. …그러므로 우리는 복음 전파나 교회생활을 해나가는 데 기도와 말씀과 그 영이 외에 다른 어떤 것도 사용해서는 안 된다. 그렇지 않으면 우리는 불일치와 같은 어떤 부작용에 대해 준비해야 할 것이며, 이러한 불일치는 참된 한마음 한뜻을 손상시킬 것이다. In the New Testament there is only this one unique way constituted with these three substances?prayer, the Spirit, and the Word.…Whatever you do by prayer, whatever you do to get the Spirit, and whatever you do to take the Word, no one would dissent with.

Suppose a brother would propose that we use a certain kind of music to preach the gospel. Some may feel good about this, but others may not. No one, however, would have different opinions concerning prayer, concerning the Spirit, and concerning taking the Word and preaching the Word. This is the unique way everyone knows because this is…the way God invented and ordained in the Bible. We need to take this principle in all our practices. Try the best to always limit and restrict your practice by the Word. Whatever the Word does not say, it is better not to take. To preach the gospel by any way other than prayer, the Spirit, and the Word may cause some different thinking.

People would take another way because they do not want to spend that much time in the Word.…Other ways…are short-cut ways for the sake of convenience.…The genuine way, the proper way, the most profitable way to take is the unique way…[according to] God’s ordained principle.…The short-cut way will always have some side effects. Only the proper way will never have any side effects.…Therefore, we should not use anything other than prayer, the Word, and the Spirit to carry out the gospel or the church life. Otherwise, we should be prepared for some side effects like dissension, which will damage the real one accord. (Elders’ Training, Book 7: One Accord for the Lord’s Move, pp. 27-28)

참된 길을 취하는 것은 매우 어렵게 보일지 모른다. 그것은 시간과 인내를 필요로 하므로, 우리는 노력하고 수고해야 한다. 말씀에 수고하자. 기도에 전력하고 부지런히 성령을 대하자. 이것은 가치 있는 일이다. 우리는 많은 시간을 들여 말씀 안으로 들어감으로써 거룩한 말씀으로 적셔지고 조성되고 심지어는 그 안에 잠겨야 한다. 우리는 또한 주님을…매일 매시간 접촉해야 한다. 그럴 때 우리는 올바른 사람이 될 것이다.

그저 하나님께 능력 주시기를 구하지 말라. 왜냐하면 능력은 여러분을 기다리고 있기 때문이다. 여러분은 주님에 의해 정결하게 되고, 처리 받고, 순수하게 되고, 순화되고, 징계 받을 필요가 있다. 장로나 어떤 형제도 여러분의 내적 존재를 처리하거나 순수하게 하지 못한다. …우리는 주님께 나아가 우리 전 존재를 그분께 열어 드림으로 처리를 받고, 빛 비춤을 받고, 폭로되고, 점검받고, 낮추어질 필요가 있다. 능력은 이러한 기도로부터 온다.

우리가 나가서 다른 이들을 접촉할 때, 우리가 능력이 충만하고 하나님의 신약 경륜에 대한 신성한 계시가 충만한 사람이라면, 거기에 영향력이 있을 것이다. 우리가 나갈 때에는 반드시 우리를 지지해 주는 유일한한마음 한뜻이 있어야 한다. 우리는 교회와 하나 되고, 우리의 동역자들과 하나 되고, 모든 형제들과 하나 되고, 모든 자매들과 하나 되어야 한다. 우리는 주님께 진지해야 한다. 우리가 이러한 사람이라면 그리고 주님의 회복 안에서 우리 마음대로 우리 자신을 위해 어떤 일도 수행하려 하지 않는다면, 틀림없이 거기에 영향력이 있을 것이다.

기도와 그 영과 말씀이라는 유일한 길을 취하라. 그 밖에 어떤 것도 생각하지 말며 어떤 수단도 사용하지 말라. 여러분 자신이 조성되고, 자격을 갖추며, 장비되어야 한다. 그런 다음에 기도 안에서 그 영으로 더불어 나가서 말씀을 제시하라. 많은 사람들이 설득될 것이다. 추구하는 사람들은 누군가가 그들에게 인생의 실재가 무엇인지를 말해 주는 것을 몹시 듣고 싶어 한다. 그들에게는 이것이 필요하고, 우리는 이것을 가지고 있다. 우리에게는 주님께서 우리에게 보여 주신 신성한 진리들을 필요로 하는 사람들에게 가서 제시할 많은 성도들이 필요하다. 기도와 그 영과 말씀외에 다른 어떤 길을 취하려고 생각하지 말라. 다른 길은 무엇이든 불일치와 분열을 초래할 것이다. It may seem very awkward to take the genuine way. It takes time and patience; we have to labor and toil. Let us toil in the Word, labor in prayer, and be diligent in dealing with the Holy Spirit. This is worth while. We have to spendmuchtime to get into the Word; we have to get ourselves saturated, constituted, and even soaked with the holy Word. We must also…contact the Lord day by day and hour after hour; then we will be the right person.

Do not merely ask God to give you the power; the power is waiting for you. You need to be cleansed, dealt with, purified, chastened, and chastised by the Lord. No elder or any brother can deal with or purify your inward being.…We need to come to the Lord and open our entire being to Him to be dealt with, to be enlightened, to be exposed, to be checked, and to be humbled. The power comes from this kind of prayer.

When you go to contact others, as a person who is full of power and full of the divine revelation of God’s New Testament economy, the impact will be there. When you go, you must have the unique one accord backing you. You should be one with the church, one with your co-workers, one with all the brothers, and one with all the sisters. You should mean business with the Lord. If you are such a person andif you are not carrying out something on your own and for yourself in the Lord’s recovery, the impact will surely be there.

Take the unique way of prayer, the Spirit, and the Word. Do not think of anything else and do not use any gimmicks. Get yourself constituted, qualified, and equipped. Then go out in your prayer with the Spirit presenting the Word. Many will get convinced. The seeking people are eager to listen to someone who can tell them what the reality of humanlife is. This is what they need, and this is what we have. We need many saints to go and present the divine truths the Lord has shown us to the needy people. Do not think of taking away other than prayer, the Spirit, and the

Word. Any other way will cause dissension and division.
