행1:14 그들은 … 한마음 한뜻으로 기도를 꾸준히 계속하였다.

행4:24 … 한마음 한뜻으로 소리를 높여 하나님께 말씀드렸다. …

31 그들이 간구하기를 마치자, 모여 있던 곳이 진동하였고, 그들 모두가 성령으로 충일되어, 담대하게 하나님의 말씀을 말하기 시작하였다.

Acts 1:14 These all continued stead fastly with one accord in prayer…

31 And when they had so besought, the place in which they were gathered was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness.

그리스도의 몸의 유기적인 건축을 위해 우리는 신성한 생명이 필요하며 또한 기도가 필요하다. … 기도하는 것은 우리 자신에 의해서, 우리 자신으로, 우리 자신 안에서 우리가 아무것도 아니라는 것을 깨달았음을 의미한다. 그러므로 우리는 우리 자신에 의해 어떤 것도 하기를 원하지 않는다. 대신에 우리는 하나님 안에서, 하나님과 함께, 하나님을 통하여 모든 것을 하기를 원한다. 기도에는 두 가지 의미가 있다. 첫째 우리는 기도할 때 우리 자신을 하나님 안으로 넣는 기도를 한다. 둘째, 우리는 기도할 때 하나님을 우리 안으로 넣는 기도를 한다. 우리는 그다지 많이 하나님 안에 있지 않고 하나님 또한 우리 안에 많이 계시지 않는다. 우리는 빗나갔기 때문에 하나님 밖에 있다. 우리가 하나님의 일을 하고자 한다면 하나님 안으로 들어가야만 한다. 더욱이 하나님께서 그다지 많이 우리 안에 계시지 않는다. 그러므로 우리는 하나님을 우리 안으로 넣는 기도를 할 필요가 있다. 이럴 때 우리는 하나님과 연합된 방식으로 일을 할 수 있다. …우리는 기도에 의해서 이러한 상황과 상태에 이를 수 있다. 기도할때 우리는 사무나 일을 위해 너무 많이 기도할 필요가 없다. 우리는 우리 자신을 하나님 안으로 넣는 기도를 해야 하고 하나님을 우리 안으로 넣는 기도를 해야 한다. 이것이 기도의 원칙이다. For the organic building up of the Body of Christ, we need the divine life, and we also need prayer.…To pray means that we realize that by ourselves, with ourselves, and in ourselves, we are nothing. Therefore, we do not want to do anything by ourselves. Instead, we want to do everything in God, with God, and through God. There are two significances of prayer. First, when we pray, we pray ourselves into God. Second, when we pray, we pray God into us. We are not that much in God nor is God that much in us. Because we are distracted, we get outside of God. If we are going to do God’s work, we need to get into God. Further more, God is not that much in us. Therefore, we need to pray God into us. Then we can do the work in a way in which we are mingled with God.…We can arrive at this situation and condition by prayer. When we pray, we do not need to pray too much for affairs or for the work. We need to pray ourselves into God, and we need to pray God into us. This is the principle of prayer.(The Practical and Organic Building Up of the Church, p.95)

우리는 복음을 전하기 원할 때 기도하기 위해 잠시 멈추어야 한다. 기도하는 것은 무언가를 하기 전에 우리 자신을 멈추는 것을 뜻한다. 우리가 스스로 어떤 일을 할 수 있다면 우리는 멈춰서 기도할 필요가 없다. 우리는 다만 일을 진행하며 스스로 그 일을 할 수 있다. 많은 경우 우리는 봉사를 그런 식으로 한다. 우리는 스스로 봉사한다. 이것은 잘못된 것이다. 우리는 자신을 멈추어야 한다. 신약을 자세히 볼 때 우리는 주 예수님께서 언제나 먼저 기도하신 것을 알 수 있다. 그분의 기도는 하나님을 떠나서 하려는 일은 무엇이든 멈추는 것이었다. 그분의 기도는 하나님과 완전히 하나 될 수 있는 기회를 갖는 것이었다. 이럴 때 아버지 하나님은 사람 예수님을 통해 일을 하실 수 있었다. 초기의 사도들의 경우도 마찬가지였다. 사도행전은 어떤 활동이 있을 때마다 사도들이 먼저 기도했다는 것을 보여 준다. 그들은 기도 없이는 어떤 일도 시작하지 않았다. 그들은어떤 일을 하기 원할 때마다 기도에 의해 자신을 멈추었다. 그들의 기도는 하나님께서 그들 안으로 오시고 그들을 채우시며 그들의 온 존재를 적시실 길을 주었다. 사도들은 그런 후에 일하기 시작했다. …사도들이 한 일은 하나님을 온전히 의지함으로 한 일이었다.

사도행전에서 우리는 그리스도의 몸의 유기적인 건축을 위한 초기의 성도들의 기도를 볼 수 있다. 우리에게 필요한 기도는 그 영의 쏟아 부어짐을 이끌어 왔던 기도이다(행 1:14, 2:1-4, 16-17상). 백이 십명의 성도들은 십 일 동안 한마음 한뜻으로 기도하여 그 영의 쏟아 부어짐을 가져왔다. 그 영의 쏟아 부어짐은 하나님 자신의 쏟아 부어짐이다. 하나님은 그분의 온 존재, 그 영을 제자들 위에 쏟아 부으셨다. 즉시 제자들은 하나님과 하나 되었다. 여기에서 우리는 우리 자신을 하나님 안으로 넣고 하나님을 우리 안으로 넣는 기도의 원칙을 본다. 그들의 기도는 하나님을 하늘들에서 땅으로, 그들 자신 위로 이끌어 왔다.

우리는 땅을 진동시키고 성령으로 제자들을 강하게 하여 담대하게 말씀을 전하게 했던 기도가 필요하다(행 4:24-31). 제자들은 하나님의 말씀에 따라(행 4:25-28) 한마음 한뜻으로(24절) 기도하면서, 예수님의 이름으로 신성한 능력을 구하였다(29-30절). 우리는 환경을 진동시키는 기도를 해야 한다. …우리가 이렇게 기도할 때 우리는 경륜적인 영으로 충일될 것이고 담대하게 하나님의 말씀을 전할 것이다.

사도행전 6장 4절에서 우리는 말씀의 사역에 일치하는 사도들의 기도를 본다. …복음을 전하고, 가정 집회를 하고, 소그룹 집회를 하고, 대 집회에서 신언하는 것은 모두 말씀을 공급하기 위한 것이다. …말씀의 사역은 반드시 우리의 기도와 일치해야 한다. 우리의 기도는 말씀을 살아 있고 능력 있게 만들 것이다. (실제적이고 유기적인 교회 건축, 영문판, 95쪽)

When we want to preach the gospel,we have to stop awhile to pray. To pray means to stop ourselves from doing anything. If we can do something on our own, we do not need to stop and pray. We can just go ahead and do it ourselves. Many times we carry out the service in this way. We do it by ourselves. This is wrong. We have to stop ourselves. If we look into the New Testament, we can see that the Lord Jesus always prayed first. His prayer was to stop Himself from doing anything apart from the Father. His prayer afforded Him the opportunity to be fully one with the Father. Then the work done by God the Father was through Jesus, the man. It was the same with the early apostles. The book of Acts shows us that whenever there was some activity, the apostles firstly prayed. They never initiated work with outprayer. Whenever they wanted to do something, they stopped themselves by their prayer. Their prayer gave God a way to come into them, to fill them up, and to saturate their very being.Then the apostles began to work.…The work done by the apostles was only done in full dependence on God.

In the book of Acts, we can see the prayer of the early saints for the organic building up of the Body of Christ. The prayer that we needis the prayer that brought in the outpouring of the Spirit (Acts 1:14; 2:1-4, 16-17a). One hundred twenty saints praying with one accord for ten days brought in the outpouring of the Spirit. The outpouring of the Spirit is the outpouring of God Himself. God poured out His entire being, the Spirit, upon the disciples. Immediately, the disciples became one with God. Here is the principle of praying ourselves into God and of praying God into us. Their prayer brought God from theheavens to the earth and upon themselves.

We also need the prayer that shook the earth and empowered the disciples with the Holy Spirit for the speaking of the word of God with boldness (Acts 4:24-31). The disciples prayed with one accord (v. 24) according to the word of God (vv. 25-28), claiming the divine power through the name of Jesus (vv. 29-30).We have to pray to shake the environment.…When we pray in such a way, we will be filled with the economical Spirit, and we will have the boldness to speak the word of God.

In Acts 6:4 we see the prayer of the apostles to match the ministry of the word.…Preaching the gospel, having home meetings, having small group meetings, or prophesying in the big meetings, are all for ministering the word.…The ministry of the word should be matched by our prayer. Our prayer will make the word living and powerful.(The Practical and Organic Building Up of the Church, pp.95-97)
